Beethoven at Home's Saxophone Teachers Provide Saxophone Lessons in Markham ONTARIO Canada
Overview and History of the Saxophone
The saxophone was invented approximately in 1842 by Adolph Sax. The first saxophones were played in Paris at that time and were intended to be a part of the classical orchestra. Striving for a combination of both the beauty of the violin and strength of the brass section, the sax failed to find its place in the modern orchestra. It was the jazz musicians of the 1920s and '30s who were finally able to put the sax in its rightful place. Sidney Bechet and Coleman Hawkins were among the first of that era to bring popularity to this beautiful instrument. Since the jazz age, the saxophone has been an important part of all the major western styles of music from jazz to blues to rock and also classical music. No matter the age, whether young or old, the saxophone is a great instrument to begin or continue one’s music education. Procuring an Instrument for Your Saxophone Lessons
Typically students rent an instrument at the outset of studies. When the commitment has been made to continue they then make the investment in the purchase of an intermediate or advanced quality instrument. Saxophones also require the regular purchase of reeds. A saxophone will require an annual check up for key and pad maintenance.

“As an adult I was uncomfortable with the idea of sitting in a music school waiting room with full of children. I couldn’t believe it when you told me the teacher would come to my office! I am really enjoying learning the cello.”Register Now!
