First of all, playing saxophone is having fun! My classes are adapted to the skill level, learning style and individual music wishes of each student. We will focus on finger technique, intonation, articulation and sound production and I am going to show how to practice enjoyable and efficient to get more done in less time. In my lessons I usually work with backing tracks. It is a pleasure to practice with these tracks and it feels like playing with a real band. I teach everything from Top 40 (e.g. Adele, Bruno Mars) to Jazz to your favorite song, beginner to advanced, age 9 to 99 ;-) Whatever your goals are, I can help you achieve them!
I am originally from Zurich, Switzerland and have been studying at the University of the Arts in Bern, Switzerland, graduating with a teaching diploma in 2001. I have continued my musical education by participating in master classes with saxophonists such as the legendary Jerry Bergonzi and James Moody. In addition to more than 20 years of teaching, I have extensive musical performance experience and have played a large number of concerts, tours and TV shows until now. Furthermore as a member of one of the most famous big bands in Europe, I have performed on stage alongside such musicians as Quincy Jones, Michael Bublé and many others.
I am a two-time winner of the “Chrysler Jazz Award“ at the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland.
One of my strengths is my musical versatility. I am therefore regularly asked to play in cover and jazz bands, musicals shows, at corporate events or even as live act with DJs. Therefore I can adapt my lessons stylistically well to my students. I also have great experience in teaching music theory and ear training and am pleased to be there if anyone needs help for this.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
