Music is present all around you. The little details of life hide musical elements, such as rhythm and melody, the rhythm of your walking pace and the melody of a few notes hummed off the top of your head. Music learning is a more specialized and systematic way to increase and expand your own musicality. Everyone thinks that music, whether instrumental or vocal, should start in elementary school, but I would say it is never too late! Everyone can enjoy music equally!
I am currently in my final year at York University with a Specialized Honors Bachelor of Music degree, which includes some piano performance lessons. I have been studying piano since I was eight years old until now. I studied piano in high school at the Euromusic Center, where my teacher was an examiner for the rcm, and I was involved in the school choir as a piano accompanist. My piano teacher is a pianist and piano professor, and my training is rigorous and meticulous. Regarding my professional experience in piano, in addition to passing the ARCT performance exam in the Canadian RCM exam, I have also passed the grade 8 piano exam in the ABRSM and am preparing for the ARSM performance exam. Regarding my internship experience, I have worked as a tutor, one-on-one piano teaching. I was fortunate enough to use my summer vacation to work as a professor's assistant at Central China Normal University in China, where I also observed a variety of excellent courses and many music-related lectures and seminars. I hope that in the future I will be able to utilize the knowledge and experience I have gained in my college classes to teach piano better.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
