Music has been my lifelong passion, and thanks to the inspiration and encouragement of my piano teacher, I decided to embark on a journey as a piano teacher myself. Over the course of 17 years, I have had the incredible opportunity to share my love for music with numerous students. Witnessing their growth and progress has been a deeply fulfilling experience. In the past four years, and throughout 2021, I am proud to say that eight of my students achieved remarkable results in their RCM piano exams, earning Honors, First Class Honors, and First Class Honors with Distinction. It brings me immense joy to see them succeed and excel in their musical pursuits. Music education has had a profound impact on my life, shaping me as a person and an artist. It is my heartfelt desire to pass on this transformative power of music to others and make a positive difference in their lives. Guiding my students to discover their passion for music and helping them realize their potential is a true privilege and a calling I wholeheartedly embrace.
My classical piano training has been extensive, reaching up to Grade 10 Level with the Royal Conservatory of Music at Edmonton's Alberta College Conservatory of Music, which is now part of Grant MacEwan University. Throughout my journey, I had the privilege of studying piano and theory under the guidance of two talented and classically trained piano teachers who served as my mentors. The joy of performing has been a significant part of my musical experience, as I have taken part in year-end and Christmas student piano recitals, and also participated in piano duet performances at the Fall Music Festival. My dedication and hard work in my piano studies have been recognized through various accomplishments. I achieved Honors and First Class Honors in intermediate levels of RCM piano exam certification. Additionally, I am proud to have received First Class Honors with Distinction at the Edmonton Kiwanis Festival in a non-competitive category, where I performed a captivating piano solo of a Baroque piece. These achievements have fueled my passion for music, and I continue to explore and grow in my musical journey.

In addition to being a piano teacher, I have a passion for composing piano music sheets that blend classical techniques with pop music styles. When I come across a pop/R&B song that resonates with me, I enjoy listening to the melody by ear and creating my own piano version in a similar key signature or exploring different key signatures while preserving the essence of the original melody. As I build strong connections with my students over time and discover their unique musical talents, I strive to nurture their confidence and empower them to perform piano songs in a way that aligns with their individual skills and brings them a sense of accomplishment. Witnessing their growth and progress is immensely rewarding. In my teaching experience, I have had the opportunity to assist students in preparing for RCM piano exams, ranging from Prep A to Level 2, and I am currently guiding other students as they prepare for their upcoming RCM piano exams in 2022. It brings me great joy to be part of their musical journey and help them achieve their goals in music.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
