When teaching music to children, my philosophy revolves around creating a joyful and inclusive learning environment that sparks their curiosity, cultivates their creativity, and instils a lifelong love for music. Every child has unique learning styles, strengths, and interests. I strive to understand each child's personality, musical preferences, and goals to tailor my teaching approach accordingly. Besides, I believe in the power of positive reinforcement to build children's confidence and self-esteem. I provide encouragement, praise their efforts, and celebrate their achievements, no matter how small. Recognizing the vital role of parents and guardians in a child's musical development, I encourage parental involvement and collaboration. I provide resources, guidance, and regular communication to keep parents informed about their child's progress, and I offer suggestions for reinforcing learning at home. By fostering a strong partnership with parents, we can create a cohesive support system that nurtures the child's musical growth.
I embarked on my musical education journey 14 years ago with a deep passion for the clarinet. By successfully earning Grade 8 with Merit, I have demonstrated not only a high level of technical proficiency but also a deep understanding of musical interpretation and performance.
Clarinet Solo - First (63rd Hong Kong Schools Music Festival)
My experience as a volunteer music teacher in Myanmar makes me truly special as an educator. It has broadened my perspective on music education. I have witnessed the transformative power of music in a different cultural context and gained insights into the universal language of music. This global perspective allows me to inspire my students with a broader understanding of music's impact and connect them to a global community of musicians.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
