Music is not just a passion for me; it's at the core of my being. I firmly believe that music is a universal language, an integral part of human existence. We are all inherently connected to rhythm and sound, from the primal beat of our hearts to the harmonious cadence of our breath. Formal music education is not so much about learning something new as it is about nurturing and expanding what already resides within every individual. I approach teaching with the same level of dedication and analysis as that of a world-class athlete. Just as an athlete hones their physique, I believe that a musician's body requires precision, strength, and agility. Therefore, each lesson begins with physical warm-ups tailored to the specific musculature needed for mastering the instrument. But music is not solely about discipline; it's about joy and play. I am a firm believer that a successful learning experience, regardless of age, should be filled with enthusiasm and devoid of unnecessary stress. I ensure that students of all ages receive the same level of respect and support, from the youngest to the oldest. After all, joy is the lifeblood of music, and without music, there is no joy. I'm here to help my students discover the beauty, expressiveness, and joy that music can bring into their lives.

Name: Shabnam (Full name will be provided upon registration)

Age: 30's

Gender: female

I have pursued my musical education with great dedication and have attended the following prestigious institutions, earning the following degrees: - University of Saskatchewan - Master of Music Performance (Ongoing) - University of Art - Master of Music Performance - University of Art - Bachelor of Music Performance My journey has been enriched by studying under accomplished mentors, including Professor Veronique Mathieu and Professor Pendar Parsi, who have significantly influenced my musical path. This ongoing pursuit of knowledge and skill has been fundamental to my growth as a musician.

Ranked the 3d for a master's degree among almost 200000 participants in the nationwide university exam in Iran, September 2021. Refereeing the western music section in the student competitions of Alborz province, May 2016-2020. Ranked the 12th for a bachelor's degree among approximately 30000 participants in the nationwide university entrance exam in Iran, February 2016. Acceptance as Ranked 3 in the Iran music institutes festival, December 2008.

My journey as a violinist has taken me from the heart of Iran to various masterclasses and prestigious concert halls. I've had the honor of participating in masterclasses led by illustrious artists, including Anna Gutowska, Damiana Jourana, Alexandros Halapsis, Giovanni Recciardy, Edward Malave, Sohrab Kashef, and Cyrus Forough. In the realm of competition, I have been recognized for my excellence as a violinist. Winning the first prize at the Concert Prize competition for two consecutive years was a significant achievement. These victories led to exhilarating performances, including renditions of Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole and Ravel's Tzigane alongside the Tehran Philharmonic Orchestra. As I look ahead to the 2022/2023 season, I'm excited to share my music with audiences through solo and chamber performances. Collaborating across various artistic mediums and exploring research topics like the intersection of history and music or the relationship between health and music are additional facets of my ever-evolving journey. My musical journey from Baroque to Modern periods has been a remarkable one. From the intricate Telemann Phantasias to the soul-stirring Mozart concertos, I've embraced each era's music with devotion and artistry. I've delved into the works of Bach, Beethoven, Wieniawski, and Grig, creating a rich tapestry of performance that has defined my trajectory as a violinist. Beyond the classics, I've explored the realms of modern composition s. This multifaceted journey has not only deepened my understanding of music but also enriched my capacity as an educator, allowing me to impart this diverse tapestry of knowledge and experiences to the next generation of musicians.

Rates and Studio Policies
Registration Fee: $25.00 (One-time lifetime registration fee may be used by all family members)

Rates for instruction:
30 minute private lesson: $39.00
45 minute private lesson: $49.00
60 minute private lesson: $59.00

Travel charge: additional $15.00 per visit (for lessons in a client's home as opposed to my studio)

1. Cancellation Policy
Lessons not cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice are billable to the client and payable to the teacher. This does not of course apply to travel fees unless the notice is effectively given at the door and the teacher has travelled to the location.

2. Cessation (quitting) Policy
A client must provide a 2 lesson notice period to stop lessons. So a weekly student needs to give 2 weeks of notice, a biweekly student works out to 3 weeks notice and a twice weekly student works out to a week of notice.

3. Illness Policy
Lessons cancelled due to illness or extraordinary circumstances with less than 24 hours notice remain billable to the client and payable to the teacher.

BAH teachers are encouraged to offer a make-up lesson at a future date in the interest of client relations and general goodwill. This only makes sense as teaching a student with the flu for example, will ruin the rest of your week's employment.

No more than 2 lessons may be made up due to illness within a 60 day period.

4. Rescheduling Policy
Any lesson can be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice.

Summer Vacation and Extended Absence Policy

Clients may schedule longer absences for trips etc. 24 hours notice is required.

It is normal and typical for students and about 20% of our teachers to schedule a break in the summer. We do not enforce a notice period (see cessation of lessons) at the end of a long summer break.

5. Evaluation Period
There are no free trial lessons with Beethoven at Home but we do offer a 2 lesson evaluation period where it is easy to try out a teacher. There are no free lessons during the evaluation period and clients may choose to discontinue the lessons at any time by providing the required 24 hours notice. After the student's 3rd lesson the required 2 lesson notice period will apply (see cessation of lessons above).
