With an honors BA in Music Education, extensive experience as a touring and recording artist, and a diploma in Early Childhood Education. Teaching Philosophy
I believe that music is a joy to the soul, music inspires, comforts and develop different abilities that you never imagine, music is everywhere and connects you with your surroundings in a meaningful way; starting with your body. My lessons focus on finding that core sound that is inside all of us as human beings we have the ability to communicate either with conversations or sounds; the whole human body vibrates and that is why I believe all of us have a voice inside waiting to be discovered. Music should be fun and enjoyable; I focus on creativity, using games, engaging activities and exercises that foster learning. I like to see music as a symphony of possibilities.
Musical Education
I have an honours BA in music education from University of Cuenca, Ecuador, the program included different music pedagogies and styles, performances classes in opera singing, jazz and classic techniques, music theory and dictation as well as a wide understanding of music appreciation and music history. I studied voice privately from the age of 10 and worked composing original music for more than a decade. My teachers were classically trained; my voice teacher had a wide experience in music performance as well as my vocal couch who was a stage musician for PINK (famous pop singer)and participated in many famous music contests like X- factor and music shows; Jimmy Kimmel. I trained vocally with a classical Armenian teacher for several years, in addition to my experience in the National Conservatory in Ecuador with German teachers as well as the Jazz Conservatory Franz Liszt in Quito Ecuador. I was part of the Indianapolis Public Schools choir and awarded as first place at the national competition in Indianapolis USA. In Canada I pursued a diploma in Early Childhood Education acquiring wide knowledge in Child development; using different elements outlined in the Ontario Education Curriculum; How does learning happen and Elect document. I a member in good standing of the College of ECE'S in Ontario. I am a touring and recording artist with more than a decade teaching to students of different backgrounds, ages and preferences.

Special Skills and Trainings
I was always surrounded by music; my grandmother was a big lover of classical masterpieces; I loved to visit her and read books while we listened to Tchaikovsky. When I was a child I organized small performances for my family where I used to create choreographies accompanying them with singing. I have also work extensively as a performing artists, composing, recording my original music. These experiences have build me both as a composer and teacher.

Samanta can provide online instruction. While other platforms are possible BAH strongly recommends the use of the Zoom video conferencing platform as it is optimized for music lessons and audio quality.Reviews
Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:

- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
