I teach the violin using the latest methods, always prioritizing the student's comfort and relaxation in their posture and playing. With over 30 years of experience, I am dedicated to guiding students in their violin and viola journey with expertise and care. I also welcome violin enthusiasts who simply love to play. All those who cherish music and the violin are warmly welcomed to join my class.
I was born in Palermo, Italy, and my musical journey began at age six when I started playing the violin. At ten, I was accepted into the Teacher/Performer Violin Professional Program at the "Conservatorio di Musica Vincenzo Bellini." After graduating in 1987, I taught at the Conservatory and later transitioned to private teaching, a chapter I've been enjoying ever since. In addition to my position at the Vincenzo Bellini Theatre of Catania, Italy, I secured roles in various Chamber Orchestras, touring Italy as a soloist and Concert Master. I had the privilege of attending a Master class with Felix Ayo, celebrated for his interpretation of "Bach Violin Solo Sonatas and Partitas."
I had students awards from Royal Conservatory of Music(RCM) and some reached the distinction during the season RCM exams.
I study the Kato Havas technique which helps a lots with the tension. I teach the Flesch and Galamian method. I also have been a member of the Vancouver Island Symphony, B.C. Chamber Orchestra, Burnaby Symphony Orchestra and Kamloops Symphony Orchestra. Currently, I am a faculty member at the British Columbia Conservatory of Music, nurturing aspiring violinists. I have a special interest in refining Violin technique and draw from methods such as Galamian, Flesch, Kato Havas, Suzuki, and Alexander to tailor my teaching approach. My students have achieved remarkable feats, winning competitions and achieving top marks in the Royal Conservatory of Music exams.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
