My teaching philosophy is deeply rooted in my lifelong love for music and my belief in the transformative power of music education. I have always been a passionate piano player, and I relish the opportunity to share my enthusiasm for music with both children and adults. This philosophy is a reflection of my personal experiences and the profound impact that music has had on my own life. Music is not just a set of notes and melodies; it is a universal language that transcends barriers and connects us on a profound level. I believe that every individual has the potential to tap into this incredible world of expression and emotion through music. Music has been a constant companion in my life, providing solace during difficult times and amplifying the joy during moments of celebration. My goal as a piano teacher is to empower people to harness the power of music to navigate the complexities of life. Teaching allows me to forge meaningful connections with both children and adults as we embark on this musical journey together. I approach teaching with empathy and patience, understanding that each student is unique and may have different learning styles and paces. My aim is to create a supportive and nurturing environment where students feel comfortable exploring and expressing themselves through music. In my teaching, I prioritize fostering creativity and self-expression. While technical proficiency is essential, I believe that true musicality emerges when students are encouraged to infuse their unique personalities into their playing. I encourage my students to interpret pieces in their own way, experiment with musical ideas, and compose their own music. This not only enhances their musical skills but also boosts their self-confidence and creative thinking. Summary: Teaching piano to children is a rewarding endeavor that allows me to combine my love for music with my passion for nurturing young talents. My teaching philosophy centers around the belief that music has the power to enrich lives, foster creativity, and build connections between individuals. By imparting my knowledge, fostering a love for learning, and nurturing creativity, I aspire to inspire a lifelong love for music in my students and help them realize the profound impact it can have on their lives.

Name: Saba (Full name will be provided upon registration)

Age: 24

Gender: female

I am a pianist, and beginner Cellist. I am a piano and Orff (children’s music) instructor residing in Toronto, Canada. My musical journey started with Orff method in 2007 when I was 8 in Pars Music School, Tehran, Iran. I started professional classical piano playing at the age of ten. At the age of 18 after getting the certificate of Orff-Schulwerk method in teaching little children music, I started instructing little kids there for 9 months besides my own childhood instructors. I have started my piano teaching career in 2021 privately to children starting from age 3.

I performed in several concerts in Pars Music school, I was also rewarded as the best piano player in Pars Music School in 2012. Ever since, I pursued my passion in music and received my RCM grade 7 and 8 certificate for piano under supervision of a professional piano teacher, conductor and Juno-nominated composer. I have received my BSc Honours in Psychology from York University and I do ongoing research in the music therapy area concentrating on children. I have started learning Cello in 2022 which has been a huge dream for me since I was a child. In less than a year, I have reached to the point that I can perform well as a beginner cellist and I am enjoying every moment of this new chapter of my musical life.

Rates and Studio Policies
Registration Fee: $25.00 (One-time lifetime registration fee may be used by all family members)

Rates for instruction:
30 minute private lesson: $39.00
45 minute private lesson: $49.00
60 minute private lesson: $59.00

Travel charge: additional $15.00 per visit (for lessons in a client's home as opposed to my studio)

1. Cancellation Policy
Lessons not cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice are billable to the client and payable to the teacher. This does not of course apply to travel fees unless the notice is effectively given at the door and the teacher has travelled to the location.

2. Cessation (quitting) Policy
A client must provide a 2 lesson notice period to stop lessons. So a weekly student needs to give 2 weeks of notice, a biweekly student works out to 3 weeks notice and a twice weekly student works out to a week of notice.

3. Illness Policy
Lessons cancelled due to illness or extraordinary circumstances with less than 24 hours notice remain billable to the client and payable to the teacher.

BAH teachers are encouraged to offer a make-up lesson at a future date in the interest of client relations and general goodwill. This only makes sense as teaching a student with the flu for example, will ruin the rest of your week's employment.

No more than 2 lessons may be made up due to illness within a 60 day period.

4. Rescheduling Policy
Any lesson can be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours notice.

Summer Vacation and Extended Absence Policy

Clients may schedule longer absences for trips etc. 24 hours notice is required.

It is normal and typical for students and about 20% of our teachers to schedule a break in the summer. We do not enforce a notice period (see cessation of lessons) at the end of a long summer break.

5. Evaluation Period
There are no free trial lessons with Beethoven at Home but we do offer a 2 lesson evaluation period where it is easy to try out a teacher. There are no free lessons during the evaluation period and clients may choose to discontinue the lessons at any time by providing the required 24 hours notice. After the student's 3rd lesson the required 2 lesson notice period will apply (see cessation of lessons above).
