Teaching Philosophy

I am continuously learning and staying up-to-date with the latest pop hits and timeless classics to cater to my students' musical interests. I have also expanded my teaching to include instruments like ukulele and mandolin, making the learning process enjoyable and fun for my students. In these times of COVID-19, I have adapted to teaching online, ensuring that music education remains accessible and enjoyable for my students. I have even organized summer camps for young children, creating an environment where they can make music and have a blast while learning. I take immense pride in my students' achievements, with some successfully passing RCM exams and others receiving invitations to perform in provincial music festivals. Their growth and success bring me profound joy, inspiring me to continue my journey as a dedicated educator and a passionate musician.

Musical Education

I am honored to have had the opportunity to study under the guidance of exceptional mentors such as Glen Wiener, Harold Micay, and Paul Hammer. Their expertise and insights have undoubtedly played a crucial role in shaping my musical journey. Furthermore, I have had the privilege of participating in master classes with esteemed musicians like Norbert Kraft, Ray Staley, Wilson, and MaCallister, among others. These experiences have been invaluable in honing my skills and broadening my musical horizons. My dedication to music is reflected in my accomplishments, including achieving grade X RCM practical guitar. Although I didn't complete the theory requirements for the full RCM grade X, I did successfully complete grade IX organ with theory, further enriching my musical knowledge.

Our Promise to You

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.

Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.

When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.

Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:

Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice

Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
