I consider music to be essential to everyone's education since it's a basic part of who we are. And, on the other hand, different aspects of music can be approached from different points of view, that's make the study of music even more fascinating. You never stop learning, and overall, when you have the opportunity, to discover the music with a new teacher or a teacher with different background.
I studied composition at the Royal Northern College of Music from 2002 to 2003. My body of work includes several premieres such as "Sweet Water Poems" in 2001, "Whale Project" (an electroacoustic piece) in 2003, a String Quartet in 2004, "Mini Piezas" in 2010, and "A una Dama Bizca y Hermosa" in 2011. I also composed incidental music to be performed in real-time for the movie "The Gold Rush" in 2012. One of my notable achievements was the international premiere of the children's opera "Yorick, El Jorobado" (Yorick, The Hunchback) in Buitrago de Lozoya, Spain, in 2015. In addition to composition, I earned a Bachelor's degree in singing from the Conservatory of Music of Celaya in Mexico. I've had the privilege of training vocally with Stuart Graham in Toronto, Carlos Aransay in London (U.K.), and also in Mexico. As a performer, I've been involved in several operas like "Dido & Aeneas," "Suor Angelica," "Die Zauberflöte," "Bastien und Bastienne," "La Serva Padrona," and "Yorick, The Hunchback," all with the group Opera Omnia. I've also participated in lyric galas, operatic galas, and international tours. Some of the tours that stand out include performances in the Madrid Sierra in 2015, Panama in 2016, and Castilla y León, Spain, in 2019. In 2017, I had the honor of conducting Mozart's Requiem during a concert series at the San Martin Pinario Church in Santiago de Compostela, Spain. He also obtained a Bacherlor in singing from the Conservatory of Music of Celaya in Mexico. Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
