Marselina brings a wealth of experience and passion to her teaching, offering lessons in viola, violin, dictation, ear training, RCM, and Suzuki. Fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian, she provides instruction to students of all ages, both online and in the comfort of their homes in Chilliwack and Langley, BC. With a Bachelor of Music in Violin/Viola Performance from the University of Victoria and a Violin Teacher and Performer Diploma from R.M Glier Music College, Kiev, Marselina is well-equipped to guide her students on their musical journeys. She is committed to enhancing her students' well-being through music, making her lessons not only educational but also deeply rewarding.

Teaching Philosophy
Music is an integral part of individual's well-being and it has a tremendous effect on cognitive function and brain development. Sharing musical skills with the students and contributing towards their growth and well-being is very rewarding experience. This is why I enjoy teaching students of all ages and levels of playing.
Musical Education
I have attended the following schools earning the following degrees: University of Victoria, BC - Bachelor of Music (Violin/Viola performance) and R.M Glier Music College, Kiev Ukraine - Violin Teacher and Performer Diploma. I studied with incredible teachers, members of the Lafayette String Quartet in Victoria BC and Viktoria Kaminskaya in Kiev, Ukraine. In addition, I participated in a number of Master classes led by internationally renown artists such as Gottfried Hoogoveen (Royal Concertgebow Orchestra, Netherlands), Eric Soucy (Baden-Baden Radio Symphony Orchestra, Germany), Denes Zsigmondy (Germany), Charles Castelman (New York) and other world renown instructors and artists.
Special Skills and Trainings
I am very passionate about music and have extensive teaching and performing experience. I am registered with the Royal Conservatory of Music and teach all ages, levels and styles, including Suzuki, fiddle, classical violin, viola and beginner's piano. I am also trained as a nurse and have experience teaching children and adults with disabilities. These experiences have enriched me both as a nurse and a Music teacher as I observed an amazing effect music has on clients' health, improved academic performance and overall improved quality of life.

Marselina can provide online instruction. While other platforms are possible BAH strongly recommends the use of the Zoom video conferencing platform as it is optimized for music lessons and audio quality.Reviews
Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:
Marselina is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Our Promise to You
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
