Music has been an essential part of my life and I consider it a constant joy to anyone no matter their age. Throughout my teaching, I prioritize the student's enjoyment and growth with music. Music can teach so many life skills and elevate you as a person. I hope to carry out these valuable lessons through my teaching and become a source of joy for the students
I am currently a 2nd year student at UBC Bmus program, majoring in Piano Performance. I have studied piano since the age of four and I have completed my ARCT in performance in 2022. Currently my teacher is the renowned Mark Anderson, head of the keyboard faculty in UBC. Other than piano, I have also studied violin for over ten years and I have been awarded the RCM 9 national gold medal in 2020. I have a large number of experiences playing in large ensembles such as orchestra and chamber music. I have played accompanist for various instruments as a pianist and I have experience playing in church and jazz band as the pianist. My variety in experience is sure to help in whatever direction you are interested in learning.

As I have been studying music for all my life, I've experienced various teaching styles and various opportunities to display my skills. I've participated in numerous Kiwanis Festivals, completed my ARCT in piano and received the RCM 9 Gold medal in violin. My ensemble experiences stretch out in a variety of genres, from jazz to classical to Christian music. As such, I am flexible to the many different needs of a student and their direction of interest.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
