I have been teaching students for over 12 years. Throughout my teaching career, I realized that the essential elements of successful learning are joy & interest in music. Students will have difficulty learning if they are not interested in music, and it will make it impossible to see further development of music. That is why teachers exist. In other words, The teacher's duty is to deeply communicate with the student mentally and emotionally for creating interest & joy in music. To do so, I combine lessons with play education. It not only makes it more effective for children to understand, but it can also create joy and interest.(including for adults) Classes based on interest and interest become a good foundation for students' academic achievement, and consequently increase their self-efficacy. In addition, a student who experiences a sense of self-efficacy due to a sense of accomplishment will live in the world with an open mind and ears (even if you or your child never play the note again after class). You will do anything in the world with confidence. In the end, it has the effect of creating a good attitude toward learning.
I have a bachelor's degree in classical piano in South Korea. I have completed all courses as a scholarship student. In addition, I have teacher's certificate.(Ministry of Education Republic of Korea) Getting a teacher's certificate became the foundation for me to become a good teacher. It covers all subjects including pedagogy, music teaching, educational psychology, educational philosophy, Western music history, instrumentalism, harmony, accompaniment, and poetry listening and so on. I also have the experience of being the exclusive accompanist of a music group with Korean composition professors. I started playing the piano at the age of 6, and my teacher was trained in France. These experiences contribute to my wide range and high level of musicality.
I was a scholarship student during my bachelor's degree. Also, I have experience to learn by a professor at the National University of Music in Germany. I won many Korean competitions. I also played an exclusive accompaniment in the music group of the Professors' Association of University.
Not only music, but I also have a Weight & Pilates certificate. So, I can teach not only students' music, but also how to use their body beautifully and flexibly and correctly. Incorrect posture or musical breathing can be corrected correctly by incorporating physical teaching. As a result, it makes student enjoy music in a healthier way.
