Music is a great source of joy in my life, and I aim to translate that to my students by giving them agency in our lessons, transmitting healthy practice techniques which will motivate them to improve and help them to do so in a sustainable way. I aim to create a safe environment in my lessons so that students can come to me with any concerns they may have, and we can learn together how to move past them. I have taught privately for a year and a half, and I cater my lessons to my students' wants and needs wherever possible.
I studied the saxophone in France for ten years before moving to the UK to study under Christian Forshaw at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, pursuing a BMus in Classical Performance. I recently transferred from Guildhall to the Schulich School of Music to continue this degree, studying under Marie-Chantal Leclair. I have played the piano for eight years, whilst at Guildhall I took additional classes in order to be able to teach and play along with my students, and I am taking similar classes here.
I have been playing saxophone for 14 years, and piano for 9, and throughout this time I have seen how many teachers transmit their knowledge to students. I have taken pedagogy classes at McGill which touch on how to connect with people at all levels and turn any lesson into a positive learning experience, and I have worked very closely with pianists and other saxophonists in chamber music performance, which have enriched me as a teacher, as working with other musicians is also a teaching experience!

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
