Teaching Philosophy
I want to equip my students with the tools to unlock their voice. You will always have me in your corner - but at the end of the day you are the one who will be alone on the stage/in the boardroom/audition room – and you need to be the one who understands your voice. Our sessions are full of student-led learning. My goal is to make you think and explore your voice! I believe that an efficient and free sound is found with lots of fun, exploration, and repetition (this is a motor skill!). You guide lessons and you pick repertoire. We will definitely be making silly noises, so be comfortable having people hear you - there are options for very shy singers so PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!! I want to be accomodative above all.
Musical Education
My journey has been a long and varied one! I studied voice privately under the RCM from childhood to the end of high school. After that, I graduated from York University with a BFA in classical vocal performance. From there I studied as an opera singer and teacher under many amazing singers across Canada, the states and Europe. I've sung as a backing singer for rock bands, was the front woman to an indie rock band, I've sung opera with the RCM, Toronto City Opera, Summer Opera Lyric Theatre. I studied under Canadas foremost Butterfly - Maria Pellegrini - in Ottawa. After that, I travelled to Germany and Italy and studied under wonderful musicians (Nadine Secunde, Dr. Siebald). I came back to Canada and continued my studies in theatre, acting, improv and voiceover. I've been working on contemporary and musical theatre vocal techniques these past five years. I adore learning and am constantly updating my teaching education - most recently having completed the Vocal Pedagogy "Un-Degree" with Dr. Shannon Coates. Experience-wise - I have have been teaching voice since 2008 - first in Brampton, then Toronto, Germany, Ottawa, Hamilton, and finally online!

I adore teaching voices! Before I had any thoughts of doing voiceover or acting, I taught. I’d love to join you in your journey and help you find your true sound! I am an actor, singer, and voice teacher. I’ve trained in voice and worked as an opera singer for over 15 years and continue to train actors how to use their voices safely and develop their authentic sound. I’ve shouted my head off in video games, sung multiple opera roles, was the front-woman of an indie band, and have lent my voice to video game soundtracks. I’ve trained with voice professionals in Canada, the States, and Europe (please see resume for details) and continually train with top professionals today to hone my skills in vocal technique and education. I’m a graduate of the York U music BFA and have run my own voice studio since 2008. Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:

- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Our Promise to You
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
