Music is a source of pure joy for me, and I believe it should bring joy to those who learn it too. My approach to teaching is focused on nurturing a whole musician, someone who not only reads notes but truly understands and feels the music they create. With young children, I keep the lessons child-centered, engaging them through their voices, bodies, and playful activities to develop their musical understanding. As students grow, I continue to use age-appropriate activities, incorporating singing and clapping to enhance their musicianship skills. I believe that playing an instrument involves intricate physical movements, so I emphasize proper technique from the very beginning to prevent future frustrations. Regardless of age, whether it's a child, teenager, or adult beginner, I take a friendly and creative approach to developing the correct technique. My goal is to make the learning process enjoyable and rewarding, while also encouraging self-expression through music. In our fast-paced and chaotic world, music serves as a respite, allowing us to escape even temporarily. I find immense fulfillment in teaching students of all ages and supporting them in achieving their musical goals. My teaching style is tailored to each individual's uniqueness and needs, motivating and empowering them on their musical journey.

I have been fortunate to gain a wide-ranging experience with various teachers and methodologies both in Europe and North America. My training in music theory and solfege through the Kodaly method has been invaluable to my musical journey. My experience extends beyond orchestral and chamber music performance, as I am well-versed in a diverse array of styles. From Classical and Baroque to the vibrant melodies of Cape Breton (Celtic), the soulful tunes of the Middle East, the lively rhythms of Mediterranean/Latino music, and even some elements of Jazz, I find joy in exploring and sharing these musical treasures with others. I also enjoy delving into both free and more structured improvisational styles, adding an element of spontaneity and creativity to my musical expressions. Throughout my musical career, I have actively pursued teacher training courses to enhance my skills as an educator. These include the Colourstrings Level 2A Violin Teacher Training Course in Austria, the Kodaly Workshops at the Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK, as well as other courses like Music Kindergarten with Mark Schneider and Teaching Musicianship at the Piano. Each of these experiences has deepened my passion for teaching and enriched my ability to connect with my students. In 2008, I completed the Colourstrings Forum Violin Teacher Training Course (Level 1) in Helsinki, Finland, and obtained a Diploma in Music Pedagogy from the Kodaly Pedagogical Institute of the Liszt Academy of Music in Hungary. These experiences have not only strengthened my expertise but have also instilled in me a warm and nurturing approach to teaching, which I carry with me in every lesson. My journey as a musician and educator has been incredibly rewarding, and I am eager to continue sharing the beauty of music with my students, inspiring their passion for the art and fostering their growth as confident and expressive musicians.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
