Music generates so many great feelings in a human being. It helps human being become more sensitive towards their environment. I believe that by providing proper guidance and training I can inspire students to achieve so much within the musical world. Music gives me inner bliss, and to watch a student reaching great height gives me so much pleasure. I would encourage and respect the musical needs of all students regardless of age to help them achieve their musical goals in life.
I began my musical career at a very young age under the methodical guidance and training from a highly qualified classical piano music teacher in Sri Lanka. I managed to acquire a broad understanding pertaining to technique and performance under her guidance. I became the Prize Winner for my Associates Diploma and received the Honorary Mention for my Licentiate in Classical piano music performance from the Trinity College of Music London. I even became the All Island prize winner for 3 consecutive years in Sri Lanka.
Distinctions on all graded level exams in piano and theory. All Island Prize Winner at Classical Piano Recital Competitions for 3 consecutive years. (2000,2001,2002) Prize winner ATCL (2003) Trinity College of Music London. Honorary Mention LTCL (2008) Trinity College of Music London.
I started learning music at a very young age and my first piano teacher was my grandmother who was a very famous and qualified music teacher. My training was primarily at home and in classical piano music. I was the prize winner at graded level examinations and I was able to complete my graded levels before I turned 15. I then moved on to a highly qualified teacher and under her guidance, sat my Associates (ATCL) and Licentiate (LTCL) examinations in classical piano recital from Trinity College of Music London. I also participated in many All Island Competitions for Classical Piano recitals. I have been a piano teacher at two famous International Schools and have been running my own private music school for more than 15 years in Sri Lanka, where I have presented students for examinations and also produced prize winners. I have also been working with students of all ages who wanted to learn music for pleasure. I have worked as a lecturer and trained teacher candidates learning the fundamentals of music under the Early Childhood Education Program In Sri Lanka. I am currently working as a music teacher and presenting students for RCM examinations while also helping music lovers and beginners enjoy note reading and learn music for pleasure.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
