Artur, an accomplished musician and educator, specializes in electric guitar, guitar, and piano lessons for students aged 6 and above. Located in Stoney Creek, he offers lessons online, in his studio, and in the comfort of your home. Artur is not only proficient in teaching various instruments but also offers a wide range of musical services including composition, music theory (from beginner to advanced), RCM, ear training, and more. He has earned music degrees from prestigious institutions such as the University of Western Ontario and McMaster University. His teaching philosophy emphasizes ease of play, aiming to make each lesson both enjoyable and enriching.
In my lessons, I make sure all my students learn to play their instruments easily and without any strain. I believe that playing music should be a fun and lifelong journey. That's why I teach the idea of "effortless effort," which helps with better control, musicianship, and most importantly, enjoyment! For my younger students, I pick songs that match their skills and keep an eye out for any areas they might need to work on. With my more experienced students, I help them play music that builds on what they already know, so they're always learning something new. My goal is for every student to feel like they've achieved or learned something new in every lesson. With my younger students, I select repertoire according to their proficiencies while always on the look out for technical/musical "blindspots." With my experienced students, I assist them in playing music that builds on or improves their prior skill-sets, so that their musical learning experiences are continuously expanding. I strive for having my students sense they have accomplished or learned something new in every lesson.
I have music degrees from the following institutions: -PhD in Music Education - University of Western Ontario -M.Mus in Music Education - University of Western Ontario -Honours Bachelors of Music - McMaster University
2016 - OGS (Ontario Graduate Scholarship) 2015 - CGS (Joseph Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship) 2010-2011 - The Reginald Bedford Award for Excellence in Piano Playing
Doctoral dissertation: "Sound Judgements: Music Education Framework for Guiding Digital Mixing Practice."// Teaching Assistants’ Training Program (TATP) Certification - Improving teaching skills for higher education and academia leadership // Kodály Level 1 Certification

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
