Music is the universal language of the soul, a powerful force that resonates deeply within each of us. My teaching philosophy is rooted in the belief that music is a natural extension of our humanity—an art form that speaks to the essence of who we are. In my studio, music education is not just about mastering an instrument; it’s about awakening and nurturing the inner musician in everyone. **Integrating Body and Mind** Understanding that music and movement are intertwined, my approach emphasizes the alignment of the body and mind. Each lesson is designed to harmonize physical technique with mental focus, fostering a holistic development that mirrors the discipline of both athletes and artists. I incorporate dynamic physical exercises that cater to the unique requirements of each instrument, promoting greater precision, strength, and fluidity in performance. **Cultivating a Love for Learning** I believe that learning music should be an inspiring adventure, characterized by curiosity and delight. My teaching environment encourages playful exploration and creative expression, ensuring that students of all ages feel motivated and engaged. By fostering a sense of wonder and excitement, I aim to make each lesson a joyful experience, free from the pressures of perfectionism. **Personalized Learning Journeys** Every student embarks on their own musical journey, and my role is to guide and support each individual path. Recognizing that each person brings their own unique background and aspirations to the learning process, I tailor my approach to meet the specific needs and goals of each student. Whether young or mature, beginners or advanced learners, all students receive personalized attention that respects their individuality and encourages their growth. **Music as a Lifelong Companion** Music has the power to enrich our lives beyond the confines of formal education. My philosophy embraces the idea that music is not just a skill to be acquired but a lifelong companion that brings joy, solace, and connection. I strive to instill in my students a lasting appreciation for music, empowering them to continue exploring and enjoying their musical passions throughout their lives. ---
I have attended the following schools earning the following degrees: - Vancouver Community College - Diploma in Music (current) - Sunrise university - Bachelor of Music - Trinity College of London - Theory of Music Grade 5 My principal teachers included Daryl Jhanke and Greg Ross for studies in Jazz/Contemporary guitar.
"Growing up with a professional singer as my father, music was a natural part of my life from an early age. I began playing guitar at 14, and over the years, I have built a diverse career as a session artist and live performer. My experience in the studio further expanded my skills, leading me to explore music production. My formal music training commenced in 2019 and continues to this day, complementing my 10 years of experience as a guitarist and 4 years as a guitar instructor. I'm currently pursuing formal music education at Vancouver Community College. This journey has enriched my understanding of music and teaching, allowing me to share my passion and expertise with students."

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
