My teaching philosophy is REALLY simple. Students. Are. My. Priority. Always.
Musical Education
I hold a Bachelor of Arts, and I am pursuing my Master of Arts degree starting in September of 2022. I also hold a general studies degree, with studies focusing on music history, speech, poetry and psychology. I have studied music, drama and art at the University level, and have studied education. I also hold a Brain Story certificate, issued by the Government of Alberta. In my earlier years of music study, I was trained at the Royal Conservatory of music for voice and clarinet.
Awards and Distinctions
I have won awards, yes. I don’t care about MY awards, but I can brag ALL day long about my student’s awards and achievements.I brag about my students non stop; my art students, my drama students, my voice students; they’re ALL pretty magically talented people with killer creative instincts. THAT’s my greatest award.
Special Skills and Trainings
I specialize in instilling confidence in my students. I prioritize trust over everything, and building a strong connection, foundation and rapport. I am a very versatile voice teacher, I have a very wide breadth of knowledge, experience and education regarding musical styles, associated history and theory. My strengths are in production and performance, and I enjoy taking students on a musical journey, and being a part of their growth from beginner to professional. I have produced over 25 concerts, two which have been featured on CMT and the W Network, and they are all for charity. I am a stage performer and professional singer, and I also sing the national anthem for our WHL hockey team. I provide students with any performing opportunities that I can, and I train them for competitions, festivals, concerts, adjudications and public appearances and interviews. My students are the stars, not me. I just get to be a part of their musical journey, which is the best job in the world. Period.

Andrea (Andi) can provide online instruction. While other platforms are possible BAH strongly recommends the use of the Zoom video conferencing platform as it is optimized for music lessons and audio quality.Reviews
Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:
Andrea (Andi) is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Our Promise to You
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
