Beethoven at Home's Accordion Teachers Provide Accordion Lessons in Ladner BC Canada
Overview and History of the Accordion
The accordion is a portable box-shaped musical instrument of the hand-held bellows-driven free-reed aero phone family, sometimes referred to as a squeezebox. A person who plays the accordion is called an accordionist. It is played by compressing or expanding a bellows whilst pressing buttons or keys, causing valves, called pallets, to open, which allow air to flow across strips of brass or steel, called reeds, that vibrate to produce sound inside the body of the instrument. The instrument is sometimes considered a one-man-band as it needs no accompanying instrument. The performer normally plays the melody on buttons or keys on the right-hand manual, and the accompaniment — consisting of bass and pre-set chord buttons — on the left-hand manual. The accordion is often used in folk music in Europe, North America and South America. Some popular music acts also make use of the instrument. Additionally, the accordion is sometimes used in both solo and orchestra performances of classical music. Click Here to Learn Even More About The Accordion

When to Begin Accordion Lessons
Accordion lessons can begin very early and are an excellent foundation for the study of other instruments in future. Some students have begun their studies as early as the age of 7. Whether or not this is possible is dependant on the child’s capacity to pay attention at this very early age and all children are different (ages 10-12 are more typical). No matter the age, whether young or old, the accordion is a great instrument to begin or continue one’s music education. Beethoven at Home will help you choose the right personality of accordion teacher for yourself or your child. Our local consultant will contact you and discuss your child’s personality and try to come up with a match that suits your requirements. Click Here to Get Your Accordion Lessons Started Right Now
