As an Autistic, queer musician, music has always been part of my growth throughout middlehood and it is not a limited ability to anyone, despite one's disability. It should be shared and enjoyed by many others who used music as part of therapeutical practices or coping mechanisms. My strong belief in music is the redefining of self-identity and the freedom to explore an understanding of ourselves through harmony and rhythm, while we allow our bodies to dance
I began my violin studies at the age of 10, which led me to education pursuits via RCM violin/theory exams, as well as Irish fiddle competition and the British Columbia Conservatory Music festivals. I began my piano studies under Laurie MacArthur at BCCM in 2011, which then allowed me to explore music composition I have attended a University Transfer Music Diploma program at Douglas College from 2012-2015 for violin performance Then pursued in Bachelor's Degree of Applied Music at Vancouver Community College in Music Composition from 2015-2018 I am currently studying abroad from a Masters' Degree of Music Composition at Goldsmiths University which is located in Lewisham, London, England. I trained under Peter Hannan, former VCC composition professor and Roger Redgate, Goldsmiths Composition lecturer who specializes in 20th century compositional techniques

They allowed me the freedom to explore different styles of violin techniques, aside from classical realms. I got to explore different extended styles of Baroque, Romani, Celtic, Flamenco, rock, jazz and blues In one of my London immersive interactive music workshops, I studied under Jose Macabra who was part of Persona Collective's Love+ project that showcase history of London Soho. We learned about utlizing electronic devices into music via magnetic microphones and sound design

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
