For me, music is a unique way to express oneself. To tell stories form the magic of sound produced through the touch of the fingertips. In my lessons, I strive to create a warm and inviting environment which gives an opportunity for students of any age to be creative and tell their stories through the music they play. I cater my lessons for each student in their own comfortable pace and style to grow and experience the enjoyment of music.
I am currently an undergraduate student in University of Toronto (year 4), majoring in Music Education Classical Piano. I have played the piano for 15 years and went through 10 levels of RCM.
I started learning the piano at the age of 5. My curriculum was classical, RCM oriented. During this time I participated in various competitions and festivals around the GTA. Beyond classical piano, I have broadened my musical horizons by learning various methods of music education (Orff, Kodaly, and Dalcroze eurhythmics), accompanying, and orchestral conducting. I have also enjoyed participating in a steel pan ensemble, a choir, and a rock band, enriching my understanding and appreciation of diverse musical styles. My teaching experience is diverse and comprehensive. I have had the pleasure of teaching piano to kindergarteners at a Montessori school, instructing group and private keyboard/piano lessons for the City of Toronto for students aged 6 and up, and volunteering to provide private lessons to an adult university student. Additionally, I offer private piano lessons at my home studio. I am passionate about music theory and history, and I integrate these elements into my lessons to provide a well-rounded musical education.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
