Violetta is a dedicated BAH teacher offering online and in-home lessons in composition, piano, ear training, and music theory from beginner to advanced levels. With over 15 years of teaching experience and RCM teacher music certification, Violetta has a strong classical background and also teaches jazz, country, pop, and classic rock. Based in Calgary, Violetta provides lessons to students from age 5 to adults, helping them prepare for recitals, exams, and performances.

As a music teacher, my philosophy centers on the belief that music is a powerful vehicle for personal expression, creativity, and connection. I am dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore their musical interests, develop their skills, and discover their unique voice. My teaching methods are student-centered, incorporating a blend of traditional techniques and innovative approaches tailored to the needs and interests of each individual learner. I strive to create engaging and interactive lessons that inspire curiosity, ignite passion, and cultivate a lifelong love of music. Central to my approach is the belief that every student has the potential to excel in music, regardless of their background or level of experience. I am committed to providing a holistic music education that not only focuses on technical proficiency but also fosters creativity, critical thinking, and emotional expression. Ultimately, my goal as a music teacher is to empower students to harness the transformative power of music to enrich their lives, express themselves authentically, and contribute positively to the world around them.
Musical Education
I am very passionate about music and have over 15 years of experience teaching the piano and theory. I have RCM teacher music certification. I have a classical background in piano, however, I teach jazz, country, pop, and classic rock music as well. I have prepared many of my students for recitals, RCM exams, and other performances. I also teach basic and advanced theory rudiments.

Lessons on an online platform
Violetta can provide online instruction. While other platforms are possible BAH strongly recommends the use of the Zoom video conferencing platform as it is optimized for music lessons and audio quality.Reviews
Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:
Violetta is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Our Promise to You
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
