In my teaching, I have numerous objectives aimed at developing musicians who are well-rounded in their musical and personal capacities. I aim to cultivate a lifelong passion for and appreciation of music by crafting a comprehensive curriculum that is fun, educational, and challenging. Every student is unique, and no single teaching style suits everyone. I focus on establishing a strong educational relationship with each student by identifying their preferred learning style. Together, we pinpoint strengths, weaknesses, and set personalized goals for musical growth. Using a variety of teaching materials, I ensure a methodical approach tailored to each student's needs. While I emphasize building strong fundamentals, I also believe in cultivating creativity and problem-solving skills to prepare students for success in the dynamic field of music. Another crucial aspect of developing musicianship is regularly listening to other artists. By doing so, students gain an understanding of what it means to be a skilled musician, benefiting greatly from learning by example. I encourage students to engage with professional recordings, recitals, and performances. This fosters critical thinking and self-assessment, ultimately enriching their learning experience through imitation and inspiration. As a teacher, I strive to create an environment that is supportive, diverse, and tailored to individual needs. My goal is to cultivate camaraderie and a strong sense of community within my teaching community, ultimately producing well-rounded musicians/artists who are equipped to succeed in their musical endeavors.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
