The piano and music as a whole is something that is very important to me and has shaped me into who I am today. I find many things essential when it comes to mastering the piano. A liking for the instrument is very important and I believe it is essential for the individual studying to form a close bond with the piano and view it as an old and close friend. Something I do to always keep the passion and joy of playing the piano is that I always play pieces that mean something to me because then I find it much easier to express the feelings in the music and to express my feelings while playing.
Currently I am attending the University of Alberta I am entering my fourth year of studies aiming for a Bachelors in Music in piano studies. I am in performance route
I have received certificates from the Kiwanis festival (Arts and speech festival) I have achieved honourable mention in the 2024 IPPA Conero International piano competition. I have played in masterclasses for well known pianists.
I have been studying piano for almost 13 years now, I started at a young age but my passion didn't really begin until I was a teenager after I had listened to the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff which made me fall fully in love with his music and the piano. I started taking lessons at the Giovanni music school under Greg Mulyk who was formerly a student of Jacques Depres at the University of Alberta. Greg had helped build the basic fundamentals and prepared me for my journey in music which I have learnt to love and cherish as a big part of me.
Taymoor is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
