As a music educator, my mission is to ignite a lifelong passion for music in my students. I believe that music is not only a form of expression but a powerful tool for personal growth, creativity, and community. My teaching philosophy centers around creating an immersive and hands-on learning environment where students feel empowered to take risks, explore new ideas, and discover their unique voices. I strive to balance technical skill development with creative freedom, guiding students through both structured lessons and open-ended projects. My role is to mentor, inspire, and equip them with the tools they need to succeed as musicians, whether they aim to perform, produce, or simply enjoy music on a deeper level. I also emphasize real-world applications, drawing on my experiences as a producer and mix engineer to teach the full scope of music-making—from conception to final production. Ultimately, I believe that each student is an artist in their own right, and it’s my goal to help them realize their potential. By fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment, I hope to inspire a new generation of musicians who are not only technically skilled but deeply connected to their craft.
I took private lessons myself for years. Even after I first started teaching at age 14, I still kept up with lessons because I enjoyed them and it helped me become a better teacher. Most importantly I am a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a Master's Certificate in Writing and Producing Music. I have taught students from a very young age all the way up to students in their golden years. My curriculum reflects my professional approach to not just playing your instrument but how to utilize all the tools and processes needed to record music. As well as teaching how to play along with other musicians.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
