Santina holds an honours BA in Music Education from Western University. She brings broad experience as a performer and educator across classical, pop, worship, and folk music. Teaching Philosophy
Music has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I truly believe that everyone is a musician in their own way. With the right support, encouragement, and guidance, every student is capable of developing musical skills and confidence. In my teaching, I focus on creating a welcoming and supportive space where students feel safe to explore, learn, and grow at their own pace. I tailor lessons to each individual, whether they are interested in classical training, contemporary music, worship music, or simply learning music as a creative outlet. Alongside building strong technical and theoretical foundations, I aim to help students understand and connect with what they are playing, so that music becomes something meaningful—not just something to practise. I believe this builds not only skill, but confidence, independence, and enjoyment. My goal is for every student to leave lessons feeling encouraged, capable, and inspired to continue their musical journey so we can fill the world with beautiful sounds.
Musical Education
I have an honours BA in Music Education from Western University and have developed a broad and practical foundation as both a performer and educator across multiple musical styles and settings. I began music training at age six through the Salvation Army music program, where I developed early skills in performance and musicianship that continue to shape my approach today. I have performed in a variety of contexts, including lead trumpet in the Station Krew band, Ignite band, vocal work with the Voices of Broadway show choir, and leadership roles as a worship team pianist and vocalist. As a teacher, I have experience in both public school and private lesson settings, working with classical, pop, religious, and folk repertoire. I focus on building strong technical and theoretical understanding while helping students develop confidence and musical expression across instruments and styles.
Special Skills and Trainings
Music has been part of my life from an early age, beginning with piano lessons from my father and growing through private voice study, ensemble work, and ongoing musical training across multiple instruments. I’ve performed in bands, choirs, and festivals such as the Kiwanis Music Festival, and served as a section leader in my university symphony. These experiences have given me a flexible, well-rounded understanding of music that directly supports my work as a private instructor, allowing me to adapt to different students, instruments, and learning styles while keeping lessons practical, engaging, and personal.

Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:
Santina is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Our Promise to You
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
