Music has been a part of my entire life. I knew I wanted to be a musician since I could start playing my instrument, and my teacher was always there by my side encouraging me. That kind of encouragement is the kind of teacher I want to be, always there to support you, and making sure you're working towards your goals.
I am in the process of completing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music degree at York University in Toronto. I've studied with Ken Peplowski (clarinet), Kelly Jefferson (saxophone), and Eric Hall (bassoon).
As a freelancing performer, I’ve had lots of experience playing in recording studios, professional concert halls, and everything in between. I have extensive experience with various ensembles, including the Toronto All-Star Big Band, Kindred Spirits Orchestra, Toronto Metropolitan Theatre Company, and many student-led ensembles, which has led to me gaining experience playing classical, jazz, pop, musical theatre, any many other styles of music. Additionally, I’ve had the opportunity to run my own ensembles, including my own big band, and co-conducting the Media Music Club Wind Ensemble at York University. Throughout my own teaching and learning career, I’ve discovered what works for both me and my students. Having studied under the direction of Ken Peplowski (Clarinet), Kelly Jefferson (Saxophone), and Eric Hall (Bassoon), I’ve learned what I need to bring to the lesson, as well as what my students need to bring. By making sure I understand what my students expect of me and what I expect of them, I can plan my lessons with a balance of technique, repertoire, and skills for their success.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
