About Parker
Parker is a dedicated trumpet instructor who holds a Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance from McGill University. His teaching philosophy focuses on developing a strong technical foundation while exploring diverse genres, from classical to jazz and contemporary styles. Parker speaks both English and French, offering a bilingual learning environment. He provides in-home lessons in Verdun and the Sud-Ouest area of Montreal, as well as online sessions for students of all levels.

Teaching Philosophy
Over the course of my own studies, I have had the privilege of working with some of the most prominent orchestral trumpet players across several countries. Thanks to these opportunities, as well as my own struggles, I have learned the overarching lesson that there is no one way to do anything-especially in the creative and subjective world of music making. In my teaching, I aim to cultivate an environment geared towards the inspiration and comfort of each student, utilizing a modern take on the trumpet standard in order to help each musician better define their own approach as well as how to use it to achieve their goals.
Musical Education
I completed my Bachelor's degree in Trumpet Performance with a minor in Music Education from McGill University in 2023, as well as a Masters in Orchestral Artistry from The Guildhall School of Music & Drama in 2025. I have studied trumpet under the tutelage of members of The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Montreal Symphony Orchestra, The London Symphony Orchestra and The London Philharmonic Orchestra. Privately, I have worked with Rob Weymouth, Paul Beniston, Anne McAneney, Will O'Sullivan, David Blackadder, James Fountain and Adam Wright. Over the course of my studies in the UK, I was fortunate enough to perform with The London Symphony Orchestra for the LSO Discovery Showcase (2024), the Pre-Concert Performance for the 2024/25 LSO Season Opening and the BMW LSO Open Air Classics Concert (2025).

Special Skills and Trainings
Since starting my studies in 2019, I have always tried to integrate teaching into my career. Although I started with a relatively small studio in my hometown in Upstate New York, I have since been able to work with young musicians in the LSO East London Academy. Recently, I have also returned to McGill University to briefly teach the 'Brass Techniques' course for Trumpet.

Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:
Parker is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
