I believe in empowering my students in their musical journeys with a balance of challenge and encouragement; always keeping in mind their goals and aspirations. This requires me to listen attentively and meet the student where they are at to come alongside them and be an active support; teaching them according to the style that they learn best so that they can understand and grow. Furthermore, I believe it is important to integrate musical aural skills as well as Western music theory and history into the day to day lesson so my student will have all the skills they may require to become an independent learner and be able to tackle whatever challenges lay ahead.
I began my musical studies at the age of 6, playing mostly fiddle and folk styles on the violin before transitioning to a classical training. Most recently, I have received my bachelors of music performance at the UofA under Edmonton Symphony Orchestra concertmaster Robert Uchida. Furthermore, I have minored in studies of viola with principal violist of the ESO Keith Hamm. I completed my RCM level 10 in violin in 2020, and have since then been teaching the RCM curriculum as well as the Suzuki method in private lessons as well as group classes. My performance experience includes my time playing for the National Acadamy Orchestra in Hamilton, Ontario for the 2023 summer season. The following summer I worked in Montreal for the Orchestre de la francophonie. I also spent two full seasons playing with the Chamber Orchestra of Edmonton. In my four years of undergraduate training, I played in masterclasses with exceptional violinists such as Pinchas Zukerman, Kerson Leong, Mark Fewer, and many others, as well as recieved a formal invitation to a festival in Cremona Italy.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
