Teaching Philosophy

I strive to make any learning process fun! I prioritize giving as much freedom as I can as music at its core is being creative and expressing yourself. I provide engaging material while also leaving you with enough room to ask your own questions.

Musical Education

I have a Bachelors degree in music from Humber College, which includes performance and music theory specialized in guitar. I've had the pleasure to study under some of Canada's greatest musicians such as guitarist Ted Quinlan, famous drummer Mark Kelso and proficient guitarist Geoff Young just to name a few. Through this program I was able to fully learn and understand a wide variety of music theory concepts and also develop my performance skill through playing in ensembles on campus and also off campus sometimes going as far as the United States.

Awards and Distinctions

In my 3rd year of Humber College, I had the pleasure of accepting an award from Yamaha Canada Music for being one of the busiest students playing on 16 final recitals.

Special Skills and Trainings

I am a performer at heart! I've been so fortunate in the last few years to have played with some of the best tribute bands in the world such as Hotel California (The Original Eagles Tribute) and Absolute Journey (A Tribute to Journey) playing in front of crowds as large as 10,000 people in Canada and the United States. I've had the pleasure of travelling to Connecticut to teach at an arts camp for 2 months and was able to really understand what it meant when it came to learning something new and how important it is to make the process as fun and stress-free as possible. I also had an amazing teaching during my high school years. Through his years of experience and knowledge as a Doctor in music education, he showed me early on in my musical path how important it is to train my ears and listen critically to myself and any piece of music.

Our Promise to You

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.

Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.

When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.

Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:

Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice

Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
