About Mahtab
Mahtab is an experienced music teacher offering piano, recorder, and xylophone lessons in English and Farsi for students aged 4 and up. She holds a strong belief in the innate musicality within everyone and is dedicated to sharing her knowledge. With training from the Conservatory of Music in Tehran, Mahtab brings extensive teaching experience, including both in-person and online formats. Teaching Philosophy
I totally believe that every each of us has born with music in our body and soul! When you see the newborn babies, they understand sounds and rhythm before everything else, even before they could see their family members! So in my mind, the music in magical and powerful for everyone. Besides, I really enjoy teaching and share what I know with other. So my life is meaningless without that.
Musical Education
Conservatory of music/ Tehran ,Iran I studied piano from the age six until the age of twenty.Then I starded to teach piano to both children and adults and orff (xulophone and recorder) to children.I continued to train with several teachers during my teaching to always be up to date.In addition to my experience in teaching in schools, I also started to have online classes.

Special Skills and Trainings
I was passionate about music since I was a little girl at the age three! I remember my dad was playing piano at the time and I always wanted to copy the melody that he practiced at the moment just with the help of my ears! Then he decided to take me to music class at the age five.

Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:
Mahtab is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
