Teaching Philosophy

For me, teaching music is about more than just notes and technique — it’s about helping students connect with themselves and enjoy the process of learning. I want my students to feel comfortable, encouraged, and curious every step of the way. I’ve studied cello, piano, and music theory in a classical setting, and I’ve also been part of choirs and orchestras, so I understand the balance between personal practice and teamwork. I try to bring that same balance into my teaching: structure and discipline, but also fun, expression, and creativity. Since I’ve lived in Argentina, Korea, and now Canada — and speak Spanish, English, and Korean — I’m very used to working with people from different backgrounds. I try to adapt my teaching to fit each student’s personality, pace, and goals. Whether we’re working on technique, reading music, or just exploring sound, I want my students to enjoy what they’re doing and feel proud of their progress. More than anything, I want to help others find their own voice through music, just like I’ve found mine. It’s really about growing together — as musicians and as people.

Musical Education

I studied cello, piano, and music theory at the Music Academy of the Universidad Adventista del Plata from 2015 to 2020. My training was rooted in classical tradition, and I received consistent one-on-one instruction throughout those years. The music program placed strong emphasis on ear training, technique, and ensemble performance. Alongside my private instruction, I was an active member of both the orchestra and choir throughout middle and high school at the Instituto Adventista del Plata. This experience gave me opportunities to perform regularly, develop a strong sense of musical collaboration, and deepen my appreciation for both instrumental and vocal music. Growing up in a trilingual environment (Spanish, English, and Korean), I’ve always been drawn to the expressive and connective power of music across cultures. My training as a musician helped shape my discipline, sensitivity, and creative spirit—qualities I continue to carry into everything I do.

Special Skills and Trainings

I bring a unique combination of musical training, teaching experience, and cultural adaptability to everything I do. I studied classical cello, piano, and music theory for five years at the Music Academy of the Universidad Adventista del Plata, and have experience performing in both orchestras and choirs. I’m fluent in Spanish, English, and Korean, which allows me to teach and connect with students from diverse backgrounds with ease. Having lived in Argentina, Korea, and Canada, I’ve learned to adapt quickly to different environments and communicate across cultures. In addition to my music background, I’ve taught both English and Spanish to learners of all ages, developing a patient, supportive, and flexible teaching style. I’m responsible, motivated, and genuinely enjoy helping students grow.
