Music and guitar have been a very prominent part of my life and are highly integrated into who I am today. I am a very flexible teacher. I love to teach songs, theory, sight reading, whatever you want. I am a very friendly and outgoing person, and I will only push you as much musically as you wish. I love most genres of music, especially rock and pop, and enjoy bands such as Red Hot Chili Peppers, Arctic Monkeys, Rush, Queen, Hozier, etc. I'm easy to communicate with, and I will always value your learning experience and growth over anything else.
I have recently completed a BMus degree in Jazz and Popular Music on guitar, performing throughout my degree in Showcase bands, local gigs, jury performances, etc. I have been playing and learning guitar for around 12 years now. I grew up learning from YouTube, then started taking private lessons from Chinook School of Music, the school that I would eventually teach at for a couple of summers. With Chinook, I have performed in multiple honours recitals, solo recitals, and as a part of one of their rock band programs. In high school, I learned trombone specifically to play in the jazz band, which gave me the opportunity to play Jazz guitar in the band, as well as for a few concert band performances.
Excellence in Band Award for Trombone/Jazz Guitar - 2022
I have extensive skills in recording and production, which was the main area of my Bmus major. I'm aspiring to become a local music producer, utilizing these skills in musicality, communication and co-operation. I've learned drums casually over the past 5 years, and I can play piano, trombone, and sing quite adequately. I've recorded many covers online, which you can find on YouTube and Instagram.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
