Music is a form of expression and connection, and I believe everyone has the ability to learn and grow as a musician. My teaching focuses on building strong technique while keeping lessons engaging and tailored to each student’s goals. I emphasize a thoughtful, structured approach while maintaining a relaxed and supportive environment. Learning music should be both challenging and enjoyable, without unnecessary pressure. Whether working with beginners or experienced players, my goal is to help students develop skill, confidence, and a deeper understanding of their instrument.
I am currently finishing a Bachelor of Music, Honours in Music Education (piano) degree at Western University. I plan to pursue a Master's in Music degree the following year. Throughout my undergrad, I have found success in performance and academics as well as learning a lot about common pedagogies and teaching methods. Prior to this, I have been studying the piano since I was six years old and have my RCM Level 10 Certificate.
1st Prize Winner of the Fred Pattison Solo Piano Competition, 2024 Dr. Sherwood Fox Music Award, 2024 2nd Prize Winner of the Fred Pattison Solo Piano Competition, 2023 2nd Award at the Kiwanis Music Festival, 2021 Music Entrance Scholarship of Distinction, 2021 Western Scholarship of Distinction, 2021 RCM Level 10 Piano Certificate, 2021 1st Award at the Kiwanis Music Festival, 2020 3rd Award at the Kiwanis Music Festival, 2019
Music has always been a central part of my life. I studied privately with Dr. Angela Park and Svetlana Kotliarenko, performed in Kiwanis festivals, and earned my Grade 10 RCM prior to pursuing a B.Mus degree. Beyond performance, I’ve taken deep dives into pedagogy and philosophy which have shaped my approach to teaching. I believe music education should be adaptable, inspiring, and rooted in genuine connection. Regardless of the methods, my goal is to cultivate not just technical skill, but a lifelong love for music.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
