My philosophy for teaching music is based on mutual respect and the belief that each student has their own learning path. I believe that music should be a personal and meaningful experience, which is why I strive to understand each student’s musical tastes and use those interests as a tool to motivate them and make learning more engaging and enjoyable. Respecting their individuality, pace, and needs is fundamental to my approach. My goal is for students not only to acquire technical skills but also to develop an emotional connection with music, learning through what they are passionate about, which inspires them to continue exploring and growing musically.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Music from the Javeriana University in Colombia, where I began my musical training, exploring various technical and creative areas. Currently, I am pursuing a Master's degree in Music at the University of Montreal, which allows me to further deepen and expand my knowledge and skills in the field. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of participating in several festivals and tours, which have allowed me to share my music in Europe, South America, Central America, and North America. These experiences have not only enriched my professional journey but have also given me the opportunity to collaborate with musicians from different cultures and styles, broadening my artistic perspective.
Throughout my career, I have had the honor of receiving several awards that highlight my dedication and talent as a musician. In 2021, I was selected as a clarinetist for the Young Philharmonic Orchestra of Colombia during the 2021-2022 seasons, an experience that allowed me to share the stage with exceptional musicians. That same year, I won the Young Interpreters Contest of the Bank of the Republic of Colombia, a recognition that reinforced my commitment to music. Additionally, I earned third place in the competition for the Samnium University Orchestra in Italy in 2021. In 2024, I was awarded the Young Talents Scholarship from Colombia, which has helped me further develop my career. Currently, I am honored to be receiving a scholarship at the University of Montreal, where I am pursuing my Master’s degree in music, continuing to fuel my artistic and professional growth.
I have been dedicated to music for 21 years, a passion that has shaped every stage of my life. For the past 8 years, I have had the privilege of being a music teacher, working with students of all ages and helping them discover and develop their own musical voice. Throughout my career as a performer, I have participated in ClarinetFest in Belgium, the world’s most important clarinet festival, which has allowed me to interact with great musicians and broaden my artistic horizons. Additionally, I have toured in the United States, France, Belgium, Guatemala, and Peru, experiences that have deeply enriched my career and given me the opportunity to share my music on international stages.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
