I live and breathe music. It is my greatest passion, and something that is so deeply rooted in who I am as a person. I've had the privilege of being a full-time songwriter, producer and performer for the past 7 years, and I have performed everywhere from open mics, to arenas such as Rogers Place. When I'm not performing, I'm making music for some of the biggest shows on Netflix such as "Love is Blind". Whatever I'm doing, I'm constantly learning new ways to fall in love with music again and again. My goal for my students, is that regardless of their age or skill level, they will gain a deep love for turning sound into music. I believe that anybody and everybody can be a musician. What separates the musicians from the non-musicians, is the time and commitment to learning, and learning becomes much easier if the student loves the very process of learning. I hope to create a very practical, goal-oriented pathway to learning music. One that constantly rewards the student for their practice time, and one that continuously motivates the student to want to push even further. As a professional songwriter, I also hope to teach the necessary skills for students to create their own music as well, and not just learn the music of other writers. I believe that there is something powerful about creating ones own expression of music, and I aim to make that an option for my students as well.
I have taken several online music courses through MacEwan University, The University of Alberta and Berklee College of Music. Most of my experience however, has been my career experience being a full time singer-songwriter/music producer for the past 7 years. I have toured internationally and am currently writing and composing music for several Netflix Original shows. I was most recently nominated for a JUNO Award for "Adult Contemporary Album of the Year".
- 2024 JUNO Nomination - "Adult Contemporary Album of the Year" - 3x Western Canadian Music Award Nominee - Winner of the Corus Radio $20k Summer Song Contest (National) - Finalist in the CBC Searchlight Music Competition (National)
I began taking music lessons when I was 5 years old, after learning to play songs from popular Disney movies by ear. Since 5 years of age, I have always taken part in some form of music education, and what started as instrument lessons, soon became songwriting and music production lessons. I have over 10 years of experience studying, teaching and practicing music, and these diverse expressions of music have given me a very versatile tool belt when it comes to teaching.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
