I believe music should be joyful, expressive, and personalized. My approach is centered on creating a positive, supportive environment where students feel safe to take creative risks and build confidence in themselves. Every student is unique, so I tailor lessons to meet their interests, learning style, and pace. I emphasize musical literacy and strong foundational technique, while also encouraging creativity—whether that means exploring improvisation, songwriting, or simply learning a favourite tune. My goal as a teacher is not just to develop skilled musicians, but to help students discover their own voice through music and carry that confidence into all areas of their lives.
I began my musical journey at a very young age, first falling in love with the piano and later expanding into voice and composition. Over the years, I studied privately with inspiring mentors and completed advanced levels through the Royal Conservatory of Music. My training is grounded in classical technique, but I also love exploring jazz, gospel, pop, and musical theatre styles. I graduated from York University with a BFA in music composition and a minor in English.
Recognized as one of the youngest church music ministers in Canada Consistently praised by families and students for engaging, results-driven lessons Performed for industry professionals and special events, including charitable concerts and community showcases Honoured to have helped several students achieve First Class Honours in RCM exams I’m honoured to be a published recording artist and a member of SOCAN, which underscores my commitment to sharing original music with a wider audience. One of my proudest moments was performing on national television alongside the legendary David Foster. Experiences like these remind me how powerful live music can be. I’ve also been recognized in national talent competitions, becoming a five‑time semi‑finalist and two‑time finalist in the Star Search competition. These opportunities taught me resilience and perseverance, qualities I pass on to my students.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
