I believe that every person can learn to perform music, and that they should have music in their life. Whether you want to pursue a musical career or have a fun, creative outlet, music lessons can offer something to you. A teacher should strive to meet each student's individual goals. In my experience, the most engaging and effective way to learn is to treat each lesson like a dialogue. The same approach won't work for every student. Teachers learn as they teach, so if something doesn't work or isn't clear, it's essential that students feel comfortable expressing their concerns. For me, patience and easy communication are always key.
I have a BMus from Boston University in Vocal Performance with the highest honours (Summa Cum Laude), and am currently pursuing an MMus at McGill University in Voice and Opera. I studied piano privately from the age of six to eighteen, and have studied voice since I was thirteen. I have been fortunate to have teachers with an immense attention to detail and a comprehensive approach that guided me to become the well-rounded artist I am today. I have sung in multiple styles, from opera and choral to musical theater and jazz to pop and punk! My musical studies have led me to train and perform in the US, UK, Canada, Italy, and Germany.
I have won the following awards and competitions: -McGill Phyllis and Bernard Shapiro Scholarship in Opera, Della Pergola Award 2025-26 -Boston University Latin Honors (Summa Cum Laude, top 5% of graduating class), 2025 -BU Isabel Gilmore Shwartz Scholarship 2021-25 -NATS New England, First Place 2025, 2nd Place 2023 -Fulbright Semi-Finalist, 2025 -NATS Boston Student Auditions, First Place, 2025 -Ellalou Dimmock Award, Boston University, 2024 -Clare Hodgson-Meeker Fellowship, Boston University, 2022 & 2024 -Calliope’s Call Young Singer Competition, Winner, 2022 -Schmidt Vocal Competition, Regional Finalist, Spring 2021
In addition to my university studies, I have trained at the Opera Caledonia Vocal Course, Royal College of Music Berlin Opera Academy, Songfest, Bel Canto Institute, Washington National Opera Institute, and Philadelphia International Music Festival. I have also worked on the production side of music, managing social media and working as an ensemble librarian. This eclectic experience has informed my teaching, as I have an appreciation for and understanding of all aspects of music-making!

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
