Music is a source of joy, connection, and well-being for most people and my greatest passion is sharing that with others. As a piano and voice teacher, I believe that learning music should be an inspiring and enriching experience—one that not only builds skill but also nurtures confidence and creativity. I aim to create a supportive space where students can explore their unique musical voices, discover the joy of making music, and carry that sense of fulfillment into all areas of life. Music making can be a vulnerable experience and as a teacher and collaborator I aspire to make the lesson environment one of no judgment. Lessons are a place to explore and take risks.
I have an honours Bachelor of Music in voice and Diploma in Opera from Wilfrid Laurier University and am currently completing my Masters of Music in Opera and Voice Performance at McGill University. In these programs I gained experience performing and took classes in music history and theory. Prior to my BMus I completed several RCM Voice and theory exams. I studied piano privately from a young age and throughout my BMus. I have worked for several opera companies and choirs as a performer and continue to educate myself. I also have experience in musical theatre as a performer and director.
I have studied music through private lessons myself for many years and continue to take lessons still. I feel there is no end to learning. I also have experience performing and working with actors as a director. I have lots of experience working with kids and enjoy nurturing the younger generations interest in music.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
