About Eun-Jung
Eun Jung is a distinguished piano teacher with a Doctorate in Music from Sejong University. She also holds a Master’s and Graduate Diploma from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Bachelor’s from the Eastman School of Music. Fluent in English and Korean, Eun Jung offers piano lessons for students aged 11 to adult. She provides lessons in your home in Burnaby BC.

Teaching Philosophy
The philosophy of my teaching is for students to develop their expressive power and self-realization through music. In order to develop these abilities, musical knowledge, a sense of good sound, the ability to interpret sheet music, understanding of composers, and technical skills are required. I hope to help students have these abilities and that they will discover the joy of music.
Musical Education
I have attended the following schools earning the following degrees: - Eastman School of Music - Bachelor of Music, Piano Performance. - New England Conservatory of Music - Master of Music, Piano Performance. - New England Conservatory of Music - Graduate Diploma, Piano Performance. - Sejong University - Doctor of Music, Piano Pedagogy. My principal teachers include Kum - Sing Lee, Edward Parker, Winfried Romph, Oxana Yblonskaya, Berry Snyder, Wha-Kyung Byun, Jin- Woo Jung, Gwi-Hyun Kim, Jae- Hee Hyun. I have given solo recitals at Carnegie Hall, Berliner Philharmoniker, Seoul Arts Center, Kilbourn Hall, Williams Hall and has performed in chamber hall at Sejong Center for the Performing Arts, in IBK Hall at Seoul Arts Center, in Grand Hall at In-Cheon Culture and Arts Center, Kum Ho Art Hall, Kay Meek theatre, Michale J. Fox Theatre, Shadbolt Center for the Arts, Teatro Casino in Spain, Arko Arts Theater, Bu Am Art Hall and Il- Shin Hall. I have also appeared with Seoul Symphony Orchestra and In-Cheon Philharmonic Orchestra.
Awards and Distinctions
Gold medalist from Korean Times Press, Grand prize winner of 17th New Musician of the Year by Journal of Music Press, Korea, I have won and awarded in many competitions by Burnaby Clef Society, British Columbia Conservatory, CDMF Performing Arts. I were a recipient of Charles W. Kennet Scholarship, Howard Hansen Scholarship from Eastman School of Music, Ward Music Ltd. Scholarship, full scholarship from Seoul National University where I finished all academic courses for Ph.D. in piano performance, Sejong University scholarship and received an award by Surrey Mayor, BC.

Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:
Eun-Jung is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
