Music is a wonderful way for children to explore and express themselves. My teaching focuses on building a strong foundation by nurturing each child’s unique strengths and gently guiding them through challenges. By encouraging what they do well and working step-by-step, I help them grow confident and skilled. I bring music into everyday life—listening to sounds like birdsong or footsteps—to make learning fun and relatable. This helps children connect music to the world around them. My goal is to support and inspire every child as they begin their musical journey.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from York University in Ontario, Canada, where I had the privilege to study under Mr. Antonín Kubálek. I’ve competed in 7th International Mozart Competition Piano Competition in Austria, the esteemed Ludmila Knezkova-Hussey International Piano Competition in Canada (1996) and earned Grade 10 certification from the Royal Conservatory of Music—experiences that fuel my passion for excellence. What truly sets my teaching apart is my background in educational psychology. This allows me to understand how each student learns and to create lessons that inspire, motivate, and build real confidence. By combining musical skill with a deep understanding of learning, I empower my students to unlock their full potential. My mission is to guide students on a rewarding journey—one that nurtures their love for music and helps them achieve more than they ever imagined.

I have perfect pitch and love helping students develop strong listening skills using Solfège and ear training. These tools build confidence and sharpen musical awareness. For beginners, I start with music appreciation to help them connect emotionally with music and find their unique voice. I include practical music theory and encourage singing to strengthen pitch and internalize music naturally. I also value involving parents through the Suzuki method philosophy, making practice a fun, family activity. My goal is to help students build a strong foundation, become confident musicians, and enjoy the journey of discovery.
EILEEN is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
