I believe that music can bring joy to anyone's life, no matter the age, and that people who pursue music do not have to have the same goal; some people may want to partake in music with the goal to become professional musicians, while others may want to have music as a hobby and a pastime. No goal is lesser than another. My past experiences have taught me that mistakes are an essential part of learning and growth and I aim to provide a safe space for students to make mistakes and to ask questions without judgement.
I started playing the piano when I seven and the flute when I was ten, and have fallen in love with music ever since I started playing music. I have always been involved in different areas of music, including playing in ensembles (flute quartet, youth orchestra), singing in choirs, as well as competing in local and international competitions. In the past, I have partaken in a multitude of RCM exams, including the RCM Associate Diploma of the Royal Conservatory of Music (ARCT) exam. I have also completed the Young Artist Collegiate Program at the Vancouver Academy of Music, a program that trains high school students musically and where students take courses at the college level.
Some of my accolades are receiving the grand prize of the Crescendo International Youth Music Competition and being the recipient of the RCM National and Provincial Gold Medal for Level 8 Flute.
I started teaching in 2020, and have taught people of different ages. I love watching my students grow and flourish and I have found that learning is a two-way street, which makes teaching very enriching. Throughout my musical training, I have completed many RCM examinations, and I hold certifications in ARCT in Piano, ARCT Analysis, ARCT Harmony & Counterpoint, and ARCT History. Additionally, I volunteer as a call taker at a crisis line; this has taught me to be more empathetic, which aids me in teaching.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
