Carson is a versatile pianist and vocalist with 4 years of teaching experience working with 50+ students weekly. He studied at Berklee College of Music focusing on arrangement and composition, and completed a studio externship in Ableton Live music production. Carson teaches classical, jazz, and modern pop/rock piano and voice, emphasizing rhythm, timing, and creativity to help students build confidence and connect emotionally with music.

Teaching Philosophy
I focus on rhythm, timing, and helping students to sink in with the music. I love giving students the moment of everything coming together, and introducing them to the emotions of music. I believe creativity is massively important towards learning, and help to nurture student's confidence by exploring unique concepts and learning strategies.
Musical Education
I have 4 years of experience teaching 50+ students weekly at a local studio in Saskatoon. I began teaching myself to play piano at the age of 4, before gaining additional musical guidance through primary and high school where I participated in Concert & Jazz Bands with a structured education from Grades 6-12. After high school I studied at the Berklee College of Music (Online) with a focus on arrangement and composition. I also did a studio externship program through Recording Connection focused on Ableton Live music production. During this time, I maintained a personal musical career with performances in Atlanta, Los Angeles, Toronto, and many cities in Western Canada and garnered 3,000,000 streams between Spotify and Apple Music. Following this I began teaching classical, jazz, and modern pop/rock piano and voice to students both in-person and online.

Special Skills and Trainings
I own an event production company in Saskatoon that hosts 100+ events annually in the music/entertainment space including the process of booking, engineering, and marketing shows. I have performed as part of bands at festivals such as Departure (Canadian Music Week) and Sask Jazz Festival and toured Western Canada three times (once independently, and twice as members of a local pop band). I served as Executive Producer for MK's Music Management as well as Horizon Music Group from 2020-2021 in Atlanta, Georgia and worked with countless artists to produce hundreds of pieces of music that are publicly shared.

Teacher Lesson Rates:
Carson is a Beethoven at Home Teacher
- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
