My Music Philosophy To me, music is more than sound—it’s a personal form of expression, a way to communicate stories and emotions, and a powerful tool for healing. Whether on stage, in the studio, or in the classroom, music connects us to ourselves and to each other. My goal is to help every student not only develop their vocal skills, but also discover how music can inspire, comfort, and transform their lives.
I have a Diploma in Music Performance/Vocal Studies from Holland College, where I studied performance, harmony, and advanced music theory. I also trained in jazz vocals at Jazz Shanghai and have over 12 years of stage experience, plus work as a recording engineer and music producer. These experiences taught me how to adapt the voice in different settings and to guide others on their musical journey. My lessons are personalized to each student—starting with vocal technique and growing into a fun, inspiring exploration of music.
First place in the campus singer competition of Ningbo University First place in the foreign language song competition of Ningbo University Top 10 among the campus singers of the first-ever competition in Zhejiang Province Fourth place in the Ningbo City Talent Show Top 3 in the Happy Girl Voice competition of the Shanghai region
In addition to my musical training, I hold an Early Childhood Education (ECE) certificate. This has given me a deeper understanding of how children learn, communicate, and stay engaged. I know how to observe their focus and behavior, recognize what level of learning they are ready for, and provide the right encouragement at the right time. These skills allow me to create a supportive and fun environment where young students can explore music with confidence and joy.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
