About Aveil
Aveil teaches Piano, Guitar (Classical, Electric, and general), and Ukulele. He holds a Diploma in Music Performance for Classical Guitar from Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Singapore. Aveil is a passionate and cheerful teacher who focuses on individual student motivation. Lessons are available online, in his Toronto studio, or in your Toronto home. Aveil teaches in both English and Mandarin.

Teaching Philosophy
Everyone is able to learn music, be it a 5 year old kindergardener to a 65 year old retiree, and each and everyone learns music differently, with a different motivations. In order to identify what an individual is interested in or would like to learn, it is always imperative to have a proper conversation prior to starting the first lesson, as students' needs will evolve through every session.
Musical Education
I have attended Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts Singapore and Graduated with a Diploma in Music Performance for Classical Guitar -Performed in various school events together with the NAFA guitar ensemble as guitar 1. -Participated in major external art events in guitar ensemble, including House of Liechtenstein (2013), Toa Payoh Guitar Club (2013), Asia International Guitar Festival (2012). -Performed in various masterclass conducted by Joseph Mirandilla (2011), Josep Henriquez (2012), Philippe Loli (2013), Richard Wright (2013). -Performed in final solo recital featuring Granada by Isaac Albeniz, Gavotta-ChÔro by Heitor Villa- Lobos, Suite BWV 995 by Johann Sebastian Bach and Introduction et Variations sur L’air: Malborough by Fernando Sor. -Co-created music appreciation programme in conjunction with NAFA for primary school students. -Performed at the Esplanade in conjunction with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra.
Special Skills and Trainings
Passionate and cheerful teacher. I started tutoring English and Music at the age of 18 and have never looked back since. Connecting with children is never an issue for me as I am always their friend and mentor.

Aveil offers lessons from his studio. Map locations are approximate and based on the postal code of the teacher’s studio. The full address will be provided upon registration.Lessons on an online platform
Aveil can provide online instruction. While other platforms are possible BAH strongly recommends the use of the Zoom video conferencing platform as it is optimized for music lessons and audio quality.Reviews
Associate Teacher Lesson Rates:
Aveil is a Beethoven at Home Associate Teacher
- 30 minutes: $39
- 45 minutes: $49
- 60 minutes: $59
Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Our Promise to You
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
