Aubrey focuses on nurturing both skill and self-expression, guiding students to discover their unique musical voice. She offers online lessons and in-home lessons in Victoria.
With more than a decade of teaching experience, I believe that music education should nurture both skill and self-expression. My goal as an educator is to guide students toward discovering their unique musical voice while developing discipline, confidence, and a deep appreciation for the art of performance. I view teaching as a collaborative process, one that encourages curiosity, patience, and creativity. Through consistent practice and mindful instruction, I aim to inspire my students to become both skilled performers and passionate lifelong learners.
I am currently pursuing my Master of Music in Performance at the University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. I earned my Bachelor of Music degree, graduating Cum Laude in 2020, and my Diploma in Creative and Performing Musical Arts from the University of the Philippines Diliman College of Music. During my studies, I was privileged to train under Professor Antonio Maigue, whose mentorship deeply shaped my technical skills and artistic approach to flute performance.
My professional journey as a performer has allowed me to collaborate with esteemed orchestras and ensembles. I have been a casual member of the University of the Philippines Symphony Orchestra since 2024 and currently perform with the UVic Symphony Orchestra. Over the years, I have participated in numerous concerts and events such as the ASEAN Summit, the National Music Competitions for Young Artists, and performances with the Philippine Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra, Manila Flute Choir, and Lasallian Youth Orchestra. Balancing performance and teaching has been a fulfilling experience that continually challenges and inspires me to grow both as a musician and as an educator.
Throughout my musical journey, I have been honored to receive several recognitions, including being a National Music Competitions for Young Artists (NAMCYA) Woodwind Category Finalist and an Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts (OICA) Performing Arts Scholarship recipient. I have also taken part in various international masterclasses and workshops that enriched my artistry. These include sessions with Rafael Leone of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Christoph Bösch of Ensemble Phoenix Basel, Daniel Agi of Ensemble Handwerk, and Dr. Christopher Hughes in Aspen, Colorado. These experiences have deepened my understanding of diverse performance styles and expanded my global musical perspective.

Home visit fee: $15 minimum fee. Teachers may negotiate a higher travel fee if the travel distance is longer than they are comfortable with. Most arrangements use the minimum fee.
One-Time Family Registration: $25. This covers your entire family for life - once you're in, everyone can take lessons!
Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
Summer breaks are different - no notice period needed when you return in the fall!
