Music and teaching are two of my favourite things. Teaching music is an enjoyable way to spend my evenings. I believe the child/student should be educated holistically making sure that they grow physically, emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Music can help a child achieve this. In university I researched the impact playing a musical instrument has on the development of the child and found that it does indeed have a major impact, particularly in the areas mentioned.
I am a primary school teacher and private instrumental music teacher from Ireland. I have a Bachelor of Education degree from Dublin City University. There I specialized in Music. I studied classical flute, violin and alto saxophone and completed all of my grades with the Royal Irish Academy of Music. I started learning the flute when I was five years old, the violin when I was seven and the saxophone when I was twelve years old. I was a member of Liffey Valley Concert Orchestra for several years and more recently a member of the Brass and Reed band Maynooth. As a teen I was in a Big Band with some fellow musicians from school.
I have been teaching music since I was seventeen years old (10 years). I also teach primary school curriculum music to classes of children aged between four and twelve. I am a trained primary school teacher with four years' experience in the classroom. I have been teaching music for ten years now and have helped my students reach their full potential, with several students achieving distinction results in their Royal Irish Academy of Music examinations.

Getting Started Together
We don't offer free trials, but we do something better - a relaxed 2-lesson getting-to-know-you period. You can pause anytime with just 24 hours notice. After your third lesson, we ask for a friendly 2-lesson heads up if you need to stop.
Life Happens - We Get It
Give us 24 hours notice for any cancellation or reschedule and you'll receive full credit. Planning a family vacation or summer break? Perfect - just let us know a day ahead and we'll pause your lessons.
When You're Under the Weather
If illness strikes with short notice (less than 24 hours), you'll still be charged since your teacher has reserved that time. However, most teachers are happy to offer makeup lessons when possible - they have the final say, especially if last-minute cancellations become a pattern.
Stopping Lessons
Need to take a break? We just ask for a 2-lesson notice:
Weekly lessons = 2 weeks notice
Every other week = 3 weeks notice
Twice weekly = 1 week notice
